    It’s Local Government Week!

    This week, the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is celebrating Local Government Week by helping students and residents learn more about how government works — from local to federal levels — and how everyone can get involved.

  • Road Closure - Mulock Drive, Bond Head October 20, 2025

    Temporary Road Closure and Water Interruption – Mulock Drive, Bond Head

    As part of the Lindvest Development project, a new watermain connection is being installed on Mulock Drive in Bond Head.

    To complete this work, Mulock Drive (behind the cemetery) will be closed to through traffic from 7:00 a.

  • Road Closure: October 20

    Queen Street will be closed between Rebecca Street and Barrie Street from October 20–24 for the installation of new services.

    The road will re-open each night, but please plan ahead and follow posted detours.

    Canada Post Service Disruption: Impacts to BWG

    Due to the ongoing Canada Post labour disruption, residents should expect mail delivery delays to and from the Town of BWG. This will affect when you receive your bills and how long it takes for mailed payments to reach us.

  • Reconstruction of Fred Cook Drive Luxury Avenue, and Kulpin Avenue

    WHAT:                                                                                             
    The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury has awarded North Rock Group Ltd. (“the contractor”) the project referred to as the Reconstruction of Fred Cook Drive, Luxury Avenue, and Kulpin Avenue and will be undertaking the construction on the streets noted below:

    WHERE/WHEN:
    Construction is planned for Fred Cook Drive, Luxury Avenue, and Kulpin Avenue as shown in the Figure below and work will commence on October 14, 2025, with anticipated completion in Fall 2026.

  • Fall Flushing Update

    Every Spring and Fall, the Town’s Water Division completes watermain flushing, which consists of running water at every hydrant to ensure a clean and fresh water supply for our municipal water customers.

    The work started during the week of September 15, and will continue through the end of October.

  • BWG Youth Council Advisory Committee Now Accepting Applications for 2025 Term

    The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is excited to announce that applications for the Youth Council Advisory Committee are open now through November 12, at 4pm. BWG is looking for youth aged 12-18 who are eager to share their voice and champion youth initiatives within the community.

    WHEREAS: the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is committed to ensuring the safety and security of all those living and visiting our community; and

    WHEREAS: fire remains a serious public safety concern both locally and nationally, and the presence of lithium-ion batteries in many household devices introduces unique fire risks; and

    WHEREAS: most of the electronics used in homes daily — including smartphones, tablets, laptops, power tools, e-bikes, e-scooters,..

  • BWG Fire reminds residents: Know the risks of lithium-ion batteries this Fire Prevention Week

    Bradford West Gwillimbury Fire and Emergency Services is teaming up with the National Fire Protection Association® (NFPA®) — the official sponsor of Fire Prevention Week™ (FPW™) for more than 100 years — to promote this year’s FPW campaign, “Charge into Fire Safety™: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home.” It highlights how important it is to buy, charge, and recycle lithium-ion batteries safely.

  • Applications Now Open for BWG Youth Scholarship Program: $5,000 in Scholarships Available

    The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the 2025 Youth Scholarship Program. Five scholarships, each valued at $1,000, will be awarded to local high school graduates and post-secondary students who are making a meaningful impact in their community.
