    Interested candidates can officially apply for job opportunities with BWG using the Town’s new Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

    BWG’s Human Resources division is thrilled to formally launch a streamlined recruitment process using its new ATS, a secure online portal for anyone wishing to apply for a job with the Town of BWG, track the recruitment process for jobs applied to, and subscribe to receive career alerts directly to your inbox for a tailored experience.

    Town of BWG Launches Survey to Support 2031 Transit Plan

    Help shape the future of local transit by participating in our online survey now through Sunday, February 11th.

    In partnership with transit consultant, “Left Turn Right Turn,” the Town of BWG’s Transportation Division is developing a 2031 Transit Plan that will pave the way for the future of BWG Transit.

  • BWG Calls on Legislature’s Standing Committee to Reform Simcoe County Governance

    The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury’s working group on regional governance reform, once again presented to the Ontario Legislature’s Standing Committee on Heritage, Infrastructure and Cultural Policy, earlier today.

    During its presentation to the committee, Bradford West Gwillimbury’s (BWG’s) representatives stressed the need for:

    • ensuring a fair democratic representation for all member municipalities;
    • implementing structures and practices that deliver efficient decision-making and good.

    2023 Urban Roads Design Project Update

    Project Areas 2 & 3

    Accardi Schaeffers has been retained to complete the detailed design work for the 2023 Urban Roads project. In order to support the detailed design, we will be conducting investigative works on site and you may see surveyors, geotechnical engineers, underground utility investigators, and arborists.

  • Downtown Bradford Revitalization Project Update

    It has been identified during the Detail Design process, that additional topographic survey information is required. Beginning the first week of January 2024 (weather pending), survey crews will be working along the following areas to collect additional data.

    BWG to Honour Cst. Devon Northrup with Renaming of Local Park

    In partnership with the South Simcoe Police Service (SSPS) and with the support of the Northrup family, the Town of BWG is dedicating a local park in honour of Constable Devon Northrup, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty on October 11, 2022.

    We invite the community to join us for the official park renaming and dedication ceremony for Constable Devon Northrup on Monday, September 18 at 5:00 pm.

    Local Volunteers Recognized at the 2023 Ontario Volunteer Service Awards

    During a recognition ceremony held in Barrie yesterday evening, several local volunteers were recognized for their outstanding contributions and years of service toward different community organizations.

    Congratulations to the following Ontario Volunteer Service Award recipients, recognized for their years of service and for playing an instrumental role in their respective community organization:
