  • Annual Toys for Tickets Campaign is back in BWG

    It’s that time of year again! Each year, from December 1 to April 1, winter parking restrictions are in effect – prohibiting on-street parking (between 2:00 - 6:00 am) on BWG roadways.

    If you get a parking ticket from the Town of BWG between December 1-14 for overnight on-street parking, you can “pay” your ticket through the Town’s Toys for Tickets campaign.

  • SNOW Much Fun in BWG!

    Celebrate the winter season with the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury’s Snow Much Fun event on Friday, December 5, 2025 from 6:00-8:30pm at the BWG Leisure Centre.  

     The event begins at 6:00pm with a tree lighting ceremony outside the BWG Leisure Centre in Sunshine Square.

  • Town of BWG Recognizes Carbon Monoxide Awareness Week 2025

    Carbon Monoxide (CO) Awareness Week runs November 1-7 and BWG Fire & Emergency Services is reminding everyone to recognize the health risks and danger CO poses by providing tips, suggestions, and advice on how to protect your family and stay safe.

    Each year, communities across Ontario recognize CO Awareness Week to promote the use of CO alarms and to educate Ontarians about CO including how to prevent exposure, the health hazards of CO poisoning, and what to do in the event of a CO leak.

  • Town of BWG Launches Annual Accessible Parking Blitz

    The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury’s Enforcement Division has launched its annual Accessible Parking Blitz, reminding residents that accessible parking spaces are not about convenience; they’re about necessity.

    This year’s theme, “Respect the Space: No Permit? No Parking,” focuses on the importance of protecting designated accessible spaces for those who rely on them every day.

    Get Ready — Santa Claus is Coming to BWG!

    Celebrate the holiday season with one of Bradford West Gwillimbury’s favourite events – The Santa Claus Parade! Watch the magic of the holiday season unfold before your eyes on Saturday, November 15, 2025 starting at 6:00pm. Parade entries from local community groups and businesses light up BWG with families and friends gathering on the streets to enjoy the twinkling floats, music and entertainment.

  • Town of BWG Recognized with Watershed Heroes Award for Innovative Litter Trap Program

    Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority (LSRCA) again honoured the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury with a Watershed Heroes Award, recognizing the municipality’s leadership in reducing pollution and protecting water quality through the installation of stormwater litter traps.

    The devices, known as “LittaTraps”, have been installed in more than thirty stormwater catch basins across town.

  • BWG Youth Council Advisory Committee Now Accepting Applications for 2025 Term

    The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is excited to announce that applications for the Youth Council Advisory Committee are open now through November 12, at 4pm. BWG is looking for youth aged 12-18 who are eager to share their voice and champion youth initiatives within the community.

  • BWG Fire reminds residents: Know the risks of lithium-ion batteries this Fire Prevention Week

    Bradford West Gwillimbury Fire and Emergency Services is teaming up with the National Fire Protection Association® (NFPA®) — the official sponsor of Fire Prevention Week™ (FPW™) for more than 100 years — to promote this year’s FPW campaign, “Charge into Fire Safety™: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home.” It highlights how important it is to buy, charge, and recycle lithium-ion batteries safely.

  • Applications Now Open for BWG Youth Scholarship Program: $5,000 in Scholarships Available

    The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the 2025 Youth Scholarship Program. Five scholarships, each valued at $1,000, will be awarded to local high school graduates and post-secondary students who are making a meaningful impact in their community.
