WHEREAS: Violence continues to be the greatest gender inequality rights issue for women, girls and gender-diverse individuals; and

WHEREAS: November is Woman Abuse Prevention Month; and

Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day

October 15, 2023

WHEREAS: October is recognized worldwide, across Canada, and within our province as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month; and

WHEREAS: During the month, we take time to honor and remember those who have lost a child during pregnancy or in infancy; and

WHEREAS: Losing a child in pregnancy or infancy is an unspeakable grief and many are left feeling alone and unsupported. It is our intention to raise awareness and to support those who grieve.
