BWG Proclaims Ontario Heritage Week 2024

Ontario Heritage Week

February 19-25, 2024

WHEREAS: The heritage of Bradford West Gwillimbury – architectural, cultural and natural – is a living legacy that helps us understand our past, provides context for the present, and influences our future; and

WHEREAS: Our community is enhanced and sustained by its heritage places and spaces, creating a place of pride and social well-being; and

WHEREAS: During the full third week of each February, the Ontario Heritage Trust invites us to celebrate heritage in all its forms. Heritage Week provides a wonderful opportunity for individuals and communities to reflect on their contributions to Ontario, how heritage is conserved, promoted and commemorated, and how they might shape the future.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That His Worship Mayor James Leduc and Members of Council proclaim February 19-25 2024, as ONTARIO HERITAGE WEEK in the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury.
