Temporary Level 2 Water Restrictions in Effect
BWG Implements Temporary Level 2 Water Restrictions Amid Heat Wave and Well Maintenance
In response to extreme heat and the temporary shutdown of one of the town’s wells for maintenance, the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury has enacted Level 2 Outdoor Water Restrictions under its Lawn Watering By-Law, effective immediately.
The heightened restrictions are aimed at conserving the town’s municipal water supply during this unusually hot and dry period.
Under Level 2 restrictions, residents are asked to suspend the following activities until further notice:
Watering lawns using municipal water
Washing vehicles, driveways, or sidewalks
Filling pools, hot tubs, fountains, or garden ponds with municipal water
These temporary measures are essential to help protect the community’s water resources while maintenance is underway and temperatures remain high. The Town of BWG appreciates residents' cooperation and will issue an update as soon as the restrictions can be lifted.
