Notice of Block Pruning

The Town will be pruning the tree in the boulevard area adjacent to your home within the next few months and winter. The tree is on the Town-owned road-easement (boulevard) property and is a valuable asset owned by the Town.

The tree will be pruned by a certified Arborist to remove lower branches to lift the canopy on all sides. The canopy will be lifted so that the larger vehicles such as snow plow trucks and street sweepers can do their street work safely and effectively. Pruning will also maintain the tree’s healthy growth as well as make the streets safer for Roads operation programs.

Staff will remain on the Town property while undertaking the work and debris will be cleaned up. Staff may knock on your door before starting the work to request the removal of vehicles that may be in the way of the work.
