BWG Proclaims the 10th Birthday of MOBYSS

MOBYSS 10th Birthday

WHEREAS: CMHA York Region South Simcoe (CMHA-YRSS) is one of the largest and fastest growing branches of CMHA, last year serving more than 20,000 clients. CMHA-YRSS offers more than 30 free mental health and addictions programs, including a variety of programs for those aged 12 and above; and

WHEREAS: Founded in May 2015, MOBYSS (pronounced mo-bies) is Ontario’s first mobile health clinic for youth ages 12 to 25. MOBYSS travels to where youth are in York Region and South Simcoe, offering a welcoming, confidential, and inclusive space to youth aged 12- 25 to receive free, no-wait medical and mental health support. Since its inception, MOBYSS has provided life altering and life-saving support to almost 25,000 young people; and

WHEREAS: This month, we're celebrating MOBYSS' 10th birthday with the goal of raising $10,000 for 10 years of care. Click here to donate to our campaign to ensure youth can continue to access care when and where they need it most.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That His Worship Mayor James Leduc and Members of Council proclaim May 5, 2025 as the 10th Birthday of MOBYSS in the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury.
