BWG Proclaims PROBUS Clubs Month 2024

WHEREAS: PROBUS Clubs Month is an opportunity to celebrate the existence of over 250 PROBUS Clubs across Canada, and the participation of more than 38,000 members in these volunteer-based, non-profit groups; and

WHEREAS: The goal of PROBUS Clubs is to provide Fellowship, Friendship and Fun for men and women in their retirement and semi-retirement years, to encourage healthy minds and bodies through socialization with other retirees in the community; and

WHEREAS: The PROBUS Club of Bradford and the PROBUS Club of BWG join together to raise the PROBUS flag and share their pride in their community and their organizations; and

WHEREAS: PROBUS Clubs Month is an opportunity to spread awareness and encourage membership in clubs across Canada and the world.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That His Worship Mayor James Leduc and Members of Council proclaim October 2024 as PROBUS CLUBS MONTH in the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury.
